PREPARING FOR PHOTOSHOOT
PHOTO-READY TIPS
To ensure your home looks its absolute best on camera, please take a few moments to get everything photo-ready before we arrive:
Move Vehicles: Clear all cars from the driveway and avoid parking directly in front of the house. If possible, park vehicles down the street or in the garage.
Let in the Light: Open all window coverings—curtains, blinds, and drapes. Rotate blinds so they’re fully open to allow in natural light and highlight exterior views.
Clean Windows: Make sure windows are spotless—no smudges or streaks—so they photograph clearly.
Clear the Fridge: Remove magnets, papers, or anything taped to the refrigerator door.
Empty the Sinks: Wash and put away dishes, and leave kitchen and bathroom sinks completely clear.
Clear the Counters: Remove clutter from all surfaces—no dishes, toiletries, paper towels, food, or personal items.
Tidy Bedrooms: Make all beds neatly and tuck away clothes. If you’re short on time, out of sight under the bed is fine.
Hide the Toys: Store children’s toys out of sight—closets, cabinets, or bins work great.
Remove Pet Items: Stash away pet bowls, beds, toys, and litter boxes in rooms that will be photographed.
Stash the Paper Clutter: Clear away newspapers, magazines, and mail from counters and tables. Keep shelves looking organized.
Check Lighting: Replace any burnt-out bulbs and give fixtures a quick dust to ensure everything is well-lit.
Tidy the Yard: Coil up hoses, put away tools, and make sure trash bins are out of view. Freshly mowed lawns and clean walkways make a big difference.
Pool Prep: Clean the pool and surrounding area. Remove temporary child fencing and turn on water features for added visual appeal.
Limit Movement During Photos: Please keep pets and family members out of the way so the photographer can move freely.
Final Step – Declutter & Clean: Sweep, vacuum, wipe down surfaces, and remove anything that doesn't need to be in the shot. Less is more!
